Nathan Blissett bagged a superb hat-trick, added to with Paul McCallum’s brace before Danny Wright’s late strike put the gloss on a fine night at Victory Park. An old cliché is familiarity breeds contempt. It hasn’t reached the contempt stage yet but after last night’s unfortunate (and referee debacle aside) home defeat to a streetwise Bromley side, there is a growing sense of desperation at the Rec. The WORST refereeing I have seen in 40 years of watching football

Well… it was. It was the WORST refereeing I have ever seen and I, like many others, have been going to football for forty years and spent a fortune doing so. At last night’s Vanarama National League fixture between Aldershot Town and Bromley it was so bad that it almost caused a riot and might have done at a larger venue. It all concerned the man in the middle, Mr. Richard Hulme.
