ALDERSHOT TOWN have arranged a pre-season friendly away at Ascot United.

Even at this short notice I have reserved one of the 125 available tickets through Event brite.

Looks like the best pub will be The Stag.

From there to the ground it’s a bit of a walk and uphill apparently so a taxi could be advisable.

When you get there you will see this magnificent stadium.

There’s another boozer, looks fairly swish, the Dog And Partridge.

Either way, I’m off down to the rail station. There’s a train leaving Weymouth around 7.30am that rolls into Ascot almost four hours later.

Obviously starved of football for months a few of us might want to make the trip. Not too far from Aldershot anyway, is it.
