Anyway this was how we lined up today.

Matt Jarvis. Remember him? Not so long ago he was in the same West Ham team as Stewart Downing. McCormack starts for us and it looks a strong front three.

The strong two below were watching from the States, Orlando to be exact and they agreed that this happy snap could be shown here.

Usually when Aldershot lose, I look for positives. If there aren’t any readily available I at least try to retain enthusiasm.

Today I can’t and judging from the opinions shared on social media I don’t think others were very impressed either.

Fact there are many angry dissenting voices out there, saying why couldn’t we have shown that fight during the game and not after it?

I’m not seeing pictures so I don’t know but the upshot seems to be that Woking wanted it more and WE did nothing after scoring do early.

So here’s the timeline match-feed and time now to luck our wounds and prepare for a National League home game against Torquay at the EBB on Tuesday next.

FIRST HALF

7′ Rowe passes the ball out wide to Ogie who plays a teasing ball into the middle which Bettamer manages to bundle home!

12′ Bettamer switches the ball well to Tanner on the right-hand-side but the attack is eventually snuffed out in the corner.

16′ Rowe picks up the first yellow card of the game following a late challenge in the middle of the park.

17′ Ogie gives away a free-kick in a dangerous position for the visitors, but the delivery from Casey is over-hit.

20′ Davison is almost found in the middle of the box for Woking but he can’t quite reach the ball.

22′ Casey break forward with the ball for Woking but his right-footed attempt from distance is comfortable in the end for Walker.

24′ Napa has another attempt from range but it is again simple for Walker to gather.

26′ Goddard replaced Napa.

28′ Jarvis’ cross is diverted behind by Lyons-Foster for a Woking corner. Walker is fouled as Woking try and force the ball in from the corner, giving a free-kick to the Shots.

30′ Rowe almost finds Tanner with a fantastic long pass but the ball is forced out of play.

31′ McCormack wins a free-kick in a dangerous position 20 yards from goal. Tanner forces the low save from Ross as he tries to beat him on his side.

33′ Whittingham gives away a free-kick in an equally dangerous position for the visitors. Cooper takes and blasts harmlessly over Walker’s crossbar.

37′ Tanner finds McCormack through on goal but the Scotsman is caught just offside. Just moments later, Kandi replaces McCormack.

42′ Sendles-White gives away a free-kick in the Aldershot half.

43′ Cooper takes and Walker punches behind for a corner. The corner is taken from the right-hand-side but comes to nothing as it sails over the Aldershot defence.

44′ Goal to Woking (Davison) The forward is played through on goal and keeps his composure to finish into the corner beyond Walker.

45′ Jarvis finds a threatening cross which Walker gathers under pressure.

HALF TIME: Aldershot Town 1-1 Woking

SECOND HALF

48′ Lyons-Foster heads the ball in the back of the net from the set piece but the linesman put his flag off as it is called offside.

50′ Rowe tries to find Tanner over the top but the ball skids out for a goal-kick.

51′ Walker handballs it outside the box and gives a free-kick away in a dangerous position on the right-hand-side.

52′ Streaming picture freezes and… oh hit the refresh button, seems to work!

55′ Whittingham darts into the box with the ball and draws an excellent defensive challenge, which ends the attack.

57′ Bettamer gives away a free-kick in the middle of the pitch.

58′ Ross just beats Kandi to a long ball over the top to clear.

59′ Fowler fires high and wide from distance.

60′ Ogie is fouled in the defensive third to relieve a bit of pressure. Max Kretzschmar replaces Matt Jarvis for the visitors.

61′ The yellow card is out again, this time for Dempsey who is cautioned for a late challenge.

62′ Aldershot win a corner on the left-hand-side.

63′ The ball is cleared an ends in a free-kick for Woking.

64′ Fowler does brilliantly to cut-out a dangerous-looking low cross.

66′ Kretzschmar is booked for a late challenge on Ogie after the full-back defended well and cleared.

69′ Rowe finds the head of Whittingham in the middle but the midfielder can’t keep the effort down.

75′ The ball, this time swung in by Fowler, finds the head of Whittingham again, but this time he can only direct it wide under pressure.

76′ Walker comes out quick to clear and prevent Goddard getting onto a pass in behind the Aldershot defence.

77′ Goal to Woking. Kretzschmar finds himself through on goal and capitalises on an untimely slip from Walker to finish at the near post.

79′ The visitors win a free-kick in their attacking their on the right-hand-side. The ball is played in and goes out for a corner off an Aldershot head.

81′ SUBSTITUTION FOR ALDERSHOT – Edser replaces Rowe.

82′ Davison threatens but Sendles-White does well to see the striker out of play.

83′ Fowler finds Rees in the box with a great delivery but the midfielder can’t direct his header on target.

84′ Lyons-Foster trips his man and picks up a booking.

85′ Woking sub Spasov’s first involvement is to pick up a yellow card as he stops Walker from clearing illegally.

86′ SUBSTITUTION FOR ALDERSHOT – Joel Nouble replaces Alfy Whittingham.

89′ Edser is booked a challenge in the middle of the pitch.

90′ Spasov jinks his way into the box but his shot is wide.

90′ Ogie fouls Spasov in the corner as the visitors look to see out time.
